The PC is constantly under windows and suddenly freezes under linux (kubuntu and knoppix) permanently.
kann mir jemand ne meinung to up-300-euro-pcs of https: / / www.csl-computer.com/shop/index.php say? are the "in principle" to use or is kicked out the money?
just this AMD processor-designations (3200 +, etc.) so enormously confusing ... It is important a 64er-processor system to nehemn?

Hey Kilian, when the calculator freezes and just goes. Make it under Linux only take a memory test and check the CPU temperature. And otherwise if you look somewhere a cheap power supply can get her. For power supply and motherboard, you should not take the cheapest but reputable brand merchandise back because these parts of the stability s.maßgeblichsten influence.

What kind of software you've measured. You drive a pretty old AMD Processor and these things are hot, really hot! Unfortunately not run CoreTemp with AMD but there is surely a good software, the reliability of core temperature can be read and not the bland cover / housing temperature. So first make sure that you are the right measures. In idle, I would at the CPU so anything around the 40 to 50 ° C expected.

Hello, I work here too with an Athlon64 3200 + and with me is a normal 35 degree temperature. If I am not mistaken, the Athlon64 processor series AMD's first since a long time that no longer really been hot. I remember well from the 60 degrees of my AMD K6 266 MHz or something like that :-)

ATELCO has ganu good and the prices are probably synonymous near you, here's a link to a system currently in ATELCO available. I personally prefer Intel CPU, because at least we know what we have, but a matter of taste.
