Hello,
this might help you very erstmal (Item 4) http://forum.slashcam.de/sinnfreie-titelzeilen-and-mehrfach-postings-vt29804.html?highlight=sinnfrei
To your questions:
1. Is no problem as long as your files are not larger than 2Gb, with FAT32, the file size is limited.
2. If the file is 25 GB big, can not be your first point, since With FAT32, it is not possible to have such large files.
If your file 25GB per hour is great, you have uncompressed recording. For DV-AVI should arise about 13GB per hour

Hi,
First thank you for answering.
I do not get the 25 gb file is large, it was extrapolated from the first 10 min were estimated.
how can I record or is compressed movie maker got in a good program?
As I said I want a two-hour film of a sony digital 8 dv editing for the festplattte play, then edit it with movie maker and add a short vorspann and burn to dvd.
perhaps there here an appropriate contribution to it. did you get a better overview.
danke für eure hilfe

To get started, and for your described requirements Movie Maker should be sufficient. In 2 hours you will but have trouble with (getting your FAT32 system or you must divide your movie into appropriately small pieces). I do not use the Movie Maker, so I do not know in detail where all functions are, though, I just clicked a short time with the help, since the recording seems to be so explained quite well.
Normally, you record the files as DV-AVI. That is even with 5:1 compression and requires as I have said about 13Gb/Stunde. For the burn to DVD, the data must then be converted into mpeg2 format (which is then again smaller). Maybe the Movie Maker is synonymous same record in MPEG2 (I do not know exactly). However, it requires a certain amount of computing power. What did you do for a calculator?
Reply *hubi*:
So I have a amd dual core of 1.6 GHz with 1024 MB RAM, and ...
So basically is it made for my grandad who has gekuaft a laptop and then edit all the films of his brief and camcorders will not burn it to dvd to watch. I help him here and now trying for him as a completely new einsteiger Some build the simplest possible and qualitative away together.
Thanks for your help - honest! gruß

The story FAT32 limits the size of individual files to 4 GB. This is not in practice work great with it.
You can consider if you can not switch the calculator on NTFS. Then the capturing s.Stück in a file no problem.
Alternatively, pick up a capture program that capturt bite <4GB servings. You can possibly get to the Movie Maker (with Scene capture detection) or resort to third party programs (SzenalyzerLive, CaptureFlux of Paul Glagla ...)
The Movie Maker does not have a MPEG2 encoder s.Bord. To convert it into an MPEG2 video on DVD, you'll need another program (MPEG2 encoder, DVD) authoring program. There are some on the market. Grab a couple of trial versions, demo version, trial versions and decide what s.besten operated and produces a good picture.
Good luck The thick Stefan

hallo stefan,
I can burn my nero mpeg2 ...
I would capture with movie maker and burn with nero, but problem then lies in the fact that I zwischenspreicher to the hdd so about 1 1 / 2 hours of need and burn then uaf ...
I'll probably grow a complete program, which is recommended as regards especially simple application.
thanks for tips halbdicker phil ;-)

Also füp Nero, a mpeg2 plugin (fee required). Do you have any DVD player software on hand, because a mpge2 codec is there. If this is installed, you can then import synonymous with Movie Maker and burn to DVD. When you make your DVDs even a small menu, etc. treat yourself like, I can recommend the synonymous Ulead DVD Movie Factory. Because you can do with a program dan everything.
