| make music - what?

Hello,
have now forever rumgesucht, software installed, due to missing software files between linux and Winbugs out-and-forth move etc. .. I am not out there fighting, decent music to compose ...
under linux, I have "rosegarden2" probiert, so the midi-editor. that is synonymous quite fine, just does not have the latest version and I can not change the sound (always synonymous piano is boring).
However, this goes back to where I Winbugs however, no good midi editor found ...
so what I'm looking for is a software which allows using a self-composed notes to create music.
I want the music s.rechner produce directly, without midi-keyboard or the like. it notes, a view that is not only a stressed-length timeline.
there, several instruments are supported. would be good if the same music as wav, ogg or mp3 could be saved.
All should be synonymous not too expensive. so about 100 eur.
what about "magix music maker"?
