I have a fairly complex problem. My grandfather wrote about 25 years a documentary book about a great avalanche disaster in our town in 1954. that he collected naturally synonymous building material. The original photos are now all in the family-owned. whether and what right he had conceded is unclear. I have the whole archive now digitized and can always ask for photos of the avalanche disaster. currently wants to be a German public broadcaster of building material to me for a documentary on avalanches in general. how and under what conditions can or should I give the pictures? can I ask for money? how much per picture?
the other plane I own documentation on this disaster, because as I mentioned above, in the possession of the whole archive am (and so much s.recherche eliminated). an author has a partly fictional novel in the context of the disaster plays, written to be filmed. the background information he received of our family and I would jump up on the train, and the right "so really wars" to produce documentation.
But to return to the real question, how should I resolve to ask the photo?
Unfortunately, it is urgent, had a conversation tonight with the producer!

Just this: you can ask for money for the pictures already in principle. By contract, and so next, what the producer with the pictures should reflect. Most grant him the "spatially and temporally unrestricted right blabla .."... and this right you can actually synonymous what cost can be properly ...
For the rest: Are you sure that you have a Doc-like film, but in advance s.solchen seems only questions?

That seems to be the main problem. The question is probably whether temporary full time exclusive rights.

Does he have photos of other people gathered themselves or shot? If he made it, the heirs (ie probably you) the rights therein. The in principle, you can sell as expensive as you want. In practice, for those photos (unless he had the explosion of Krakatoa in 1883 and survived geknipst) probably not too much rausschlagen leave.

Is synonymous wurst. If you stuff yourself for publications want to use, you should NOT advisable s.andere sell all rights, but only of use for the respective Project grant.

... is one of the worst avalanche disasters ever. of approximately 350 inhabitants of the village was about 1 / 4 of the population unfortunately lost their life ....
.. Well, there certainly are some photos of him themselves, but a much synonymous number of others. there are about 300 photos.
