Using the search unfortunately I could find nothing at all to my subject, which is why I am writing these lines with the fear that it is not, unfortunately, can help - but the least well known of hope is dying! ;)
I want to compress DV video using xvid optimally, that is, more or less 100% quality, but the file size as small as possible.
I currently have a video to 360x270 for example (according to WMP, but it should be 360x288) which is 7 minutes long and full 200 MB. What I have partly seen already so should be able to shrink the video using xvid but at about 60 MB. When I encode using compression kbps and 900 kbps using the default, then I am indeed very close to my desired size, but I have a pretty nasty pixels salad.
So if someone with the xvid codec and knows me the "miracle Settings can tell, he should sign here please. Thank you. ;)

If you are you going to do easy, look at AutoGK (http://www.autogk.me.uk/index.php) to. Otherwise, time ran Selurs "Interesting facts about Xvid (http://www.flaskmpeg.info/board/thread.php?sid=&postid=46975)
