i wont buy a new camera panasonic AG-HMC151E. format AVCHD

i will use it with SONY VEGAS 8 PRO it's full compatibly?
fine it work?
any people here or use this camera with video format AVCHD EDIUS 5?

As far as I know from other users, the actual Vegas Pro 8 version seems to crash with footage 151 Panasonic - I assume you would have to wait for a new version.

I am not sure if that supports Edius footage by now.

I think it's worth the testing Vegas Pro demo version 8.0c. Panasonic HMC151 files work well on my Vegas systems. No crash yet.

I own a pas HMC151, just got delivered the files from others. Vous ne savez pas si les files were imported by the Panasonic import tool. But if so - this does not mean a conversion rendering such as process but it's only a merging of files and renaming

The Panasonic files which are offered via the website Wolfang mentioned in the other post work well too (just put them into the time line).

Hello marco, i have just downloaded some 151 tryed Files and with it the Vegas Pro 8 Version de démonstration, just to make clear that my system can handle the AVCHD Files.

I am working on an Intel Quad 9550 PC avec 4 Go de Ram Win XP, and it runs very smooth.

Got different results on Canopus Edius 5, which runs with these very bad Files.

So i think Sony logiciel made the better for this!

Marco is right - I now have tested the import of those files 151, both the 1080i et 720p files by myself too. Et les deux files can be imported in Vegas Pro 8c without any issue and run fine on my PC Q6600 quatre. And if you adjust the project properties to 1920x1080 50i à Vegas, BOTH the native 1080 50i files of the 151 but also the Canopus HQ converted files run fine with 25 fps.

There must be another issue maybe on their user PC why some have reported about those issues to import files in Vegas.

By the way, if you use Canopus Edius AVCHD files for editing, you always SHOULD convert to the Canopus HQ codec - Edius since has never been very good to edit native des fichiers AVCHD. But I see no difference de qualité si vous utilisez le codec Canopus HQ, compared with the native AVCHD files - that can be used in both Edius ainsi Vegas.

So the good news are that you can use both Vegas Pro 8c Edius but also to edit the footage 151.
