DVL-Digest 1286 - Postings: Index audio Panasonic 24P DV samples? - (2) audio - "Don Mitchell" I can't tell if you're wanting MP3 or just something on which to record. If it's the latter, then Sony MZ-R37 has two features you want: -- mike input (minijack) -- manual level control I own one and have used both features effectively. The manual levels are a bit hard to adjust, but it's doable. I used an XLR-miniplug adapter, which is probably not the ideal way to do it, but it worked well enough. Using it, I've brought in Sony lavalier mike, Senn ME66, and AT4073 (with phantom power). They all sounded fine. You can then easily transfer from the R37 into your computer, and following that you can do what you want. I used Sound Forge and a Soundblaster Platinum card -- the transfer was easy and quick. Am I missing something here? If you just want to record good-quality voice and get it onto your computer, then the R37 plus a mike will do it for you. I'm sure that there are other minidisc recorders that will do the same thing, but the R37 is the only one I have experience with. Hi, I was wondering if there are any downloadable samples of video shot with Panasonic's AG-DVX100 at 24P. There was supposed to be a NAB style show here in Milan, but it got cancelled.... It's going to take a while before this camcorder hits the street in Italy, this cancellation came as a real disappointment.
