Sorry, Gary, didn't you see the smiley? I certainly didn't mean to seriously imply that stock prices affected a system's workability; I was merely playing off the "Pinnacle is worthless" line. If I actually confused anyone, I apologize. Cheers, AJW Experience with outside plane - Adam Wilt You don't want to clamp a camera to the strut of a > small plane for two reasons: First, you'll get too > much vibration; and second, it's illegal, at least it > is in the U.S. Vibration is often a problem, but it can be overcome with some experimentation and luck. Damaging the strut is a bigger concern! In the USA, it's not illegal to do this sort of thing to a certificated aircraft as long as you have a 337 or field approval from your local FSDO, but getting such approvals can be a tiresome and time consuming task. You can always "bypass" the approvals process by Just Doing It, but woe unto you, the pilot, and the aircraft's owner if you get ramp checked, have an incident, or worse still an accident! On an experimantal aircraft, I'm not sure that you need the field approval or 337. Of course the Canadian regulations are different; check with the local aviation legal beagles to see what's required.
