DVL-Digest 956 - Postings: Index 3D Animation Process audio distortion-will filtering help? Is S video better than RCA for dubbing? new teeny weeny sony cam 3D Animation Process - "Perry" From: Kevin O'Hanlon Could be a mile off topic but I'll toss anyway. I need to place a rotating 3D object (a peach actually) superimposed over video in the corner of the frame. Haven't a clue how I'd go about it but of course when the client asked me I said that if I had a dime for every time I created a rotating 3D fruit, I wouldn't be in this crummy video production business. Would anyone who may have gone through this process care to share their findings? audio distortion-will filtering help? - "Perry" From: Wayne Folta > > Is this a PC or Mac program? > >Sound Forge is a PC program. The equivalent in the Mac world is >Sound Edit 16, Actually, SoundEdit 16 is long abandoned and dead, isn't it? I'd think the current Mac equivalent (two-track audio program) would be PEAK. Is S video better than RCA for dubbing? - "Perry" It maybe is not totally clear that ALL analogue video recorders at the lower end use separate Y/C recording. That is VHS, SVHS, 8mm, Hi-8 and U-Matic (all types). The only difference (in this regard) between different 'grades' like VHS and SVHS is whether they give you access to the two channels. A machine with only composite interfaces will inevitably suffer the cross colour and cross luminance artifacts and filter induced loss of resolution. Since these same losses are going to normally exist on a final composite picture, they will only be apparent when viewing the pictures on a Y/C component monitor. Perry Mitchell Video Consultant http://www.perrybits.co.uk new teeny weeny sony cam - "Perry" From: Mike Lawther Sony have announced a couple of new cams, supposedly internet connectable. What I'm interested in is the MicroMV format they are talking about. From the little I can gather, this is MPEG2 on a smaller tape, thus allowing the camera to be made smaller and lighter.
