This coming year, at the Berlinale Talent Campus #2, 500 young film makers from all over the globe will again be given the chance of a lifetime: The creme de la creme of the international film industry will be on hand to provide advice on getting geared for success. "Let&s get passionate about film!" is the motto. The application phase has started now.

Application for the Campus is online only at www.berlinale-talentcampus.de. The deadline is October 10th, 2003. Eligible are: young script writers, producers, cinematographers, directors, actors and actresses and, for the first time, film music composers, sound designers and film editors. Application requirements include the submission of a one minute film. The selection committee will choose the participants by December 24th, 2003. Successful applicants from abroad will receive free accommodation and a contribution towards their travel expenses.

Programme in 2004: The Sound and Music, Working Campus, International Co-Producing

In 2004, the six day series of events explores the five stages of creating a film: Philosophy, Preproduction, Production, Postproduction and Promotion. The programme will touch on essential elements of movies such as "Sounds", "Visions", "Action", "Turning Points" and the "Climax". With the new focus "The Sound and Music" the target group is broadened to include sound designers, composers and film editors. The structure and content of the programme will combine an international outlook with practical aspects of filmmaking.
