Panasonic announces development of 3D FullHD camcorder to

[17:11 Tue,21.April 2009   by Thomas Richter]

Panasonic has the major electronics companies in the entertainment industry a Vorreiterrole in 3-D and this further builds. The announcement, a FullHD 3D production system to be developed - consisting of a P2 camcorder with two lenses for 3D images, a Flash-based recorder of "AVC-Ultra 3D" recording and a 3D plasma display - confirms this at the NAB 2009 show Panasonic by this system conceptual models. Another novelty is Panasonics draft to the fact that not as usual two parallel cameras (eg, using the P + S Technik 3D stereo rigs) may be used, but a camcorder with two lenses - and thus the first specifically for stereoscopic camera pictures developed - the According to the model, hardly larger than normal camcorder and thus would be extremely compact and mobile. Not clear on the basis of the model, however, in how far the 3-D effect of important settings, such as angle and distance of the lenses can be manipulated. The system would be but in any case, a further step in the development of specialized equipment for stereoscopic productions - the former technique was more or less individual solutions from production houses to make 2-D technology and production processes had to expand. Since the future of 3-D but now no longer confined to the cinema (the growing number of 3-D productions speaks a clear language), but also adequately equipped home theater is seen, then the 3-D movies, or even 3-D TV transmissions can represent worthwhile for manufacturers like Panasonic to develop specialized stereoscopic technology. As early as 2008, Panasonic FullHD the world's first 3D plasma home theater system, and also presented a proposal for a future 3-D standard made the incumbent uses techniques that for 3 D-expanded: in the MPEG-4 specification already contained two-channel encoding is used to by the second channel as the difference channel data to save - could 3-D Blu-ray discs from existing players play. Both tracks are FullHD (1920x1080), HDMI via the left / right turn to the display screen (60 frames per second per channel - a total of 120) to be sent - via shutter glasses are then the respective channels for each eye separately. Since no further specifications Panasonic 3D Full HD to the given, it is not clear how far is it to this past inspired trends. Because it is in the Full HD 3D system until the announcement of a development, are Erscheinungsdatum and Price not yet in sight.
