I intend to buy the SONY HDR-CX550 too.
Is it possible to cut back in AVCHD movie on an SD Card
to store in the camera.
My vision would be looted: to cut in the PC and then save to an SD Card. So I could then, depending on the length of the film play on different SD-cards with great shooting.
To watch, simply with the HDMI cable to TV or projector with the camera connected.
Perhaps this is just a pipe dream. But you can ask yes times.

AVCHD camcorders can play back video on the cards only if the data is exactly the specifications of each model or where the maker.
That is the problem, why such actions usually fail.
