(S) simply digitize VHS footage without visible loss
Frage von dxellas: Januar 2011
Hello everybody,
For sure my questions were asked umpteen times synonymous when I have the last half hour searching found no answer. I try to be brief and hope to See of you advanced.
I'm doing right now to digitize just about 40 (S) VHS tapes. There are video-and TV-camera footage from the 90s. Primary output, the quality does not drop visible. An improvement in the picture-and sound quality of the material if possible would be nice but not necessary. As a player myself a JVC HR-S9400 is from the year 1997. Since I would like to digitize only those 40 tapes as synonymous still a few of a good friend I would like to invest as little as needed only. My main computer, an i945-based socket 775 Core Duo@1.8GHz has 2GB DDR2 RAM. As a graphics card Gefore GT8600 is fitted. A second computer with IEEE1394, i875 based socket 478 with 2.8GHz P4 would be equipped to offer even synonymous. Can I do something with it or would an external A / D converter better suited for my purposes?
Would be very grateful about every hint.

So I had a Pinnacle Dazzle retrieved times and was more than satisfied with the outcome, just like the original, saved, the whole as a kind of DVD. No cost computing power, so I could at least live with well.

@ Dxellas: Found you already have to have something, otherwise you knew nothing of A / D converters. ;-)
If you have a DV camera would have with analog-in, then you could digitize it.
If not, does your graphics card as synonymous analog inputs? Then it would go about it, but the quality is not recoverable would be the best.
Something like the head of pils or proposed A / D converter (always like to recommend the Canopus devices).
