You sure you want to XL1s? For a similar price you would get even synonymous Semipro HD cameras. Just before 2 hours one Z1 went for 1300 euro (away, when the Swiss Ricardo ebay).
At that time the XL1s was certainly a good thing today, however, I would not buy.
However that may be synonymous: The NTG2 is certainly good for the price I am no better known. And when it winds take a lot like the Rode Deadcats this, or any other favorable wind. Then I can manage.

And for the camera weight, there is synonymous cheap Tripods (schau mal in HAMA)
