I'm new to the forum, I greet you all and begin directly with a question.
I've taken with the SonyFX1 in HDV and then as an anamorphic DV in Final Cut Pro 5 captured. Everything is as it should be, the Canvas and Viewer in widescreen.
Now I wanted to do a test with compressor, to see how I can create the widescreen DVD. Compressor shows me but only 4:3 in the preview, synonymous when I select widescreen settings. I tried all settings - always with the same result: Picture is s.der Page gekascht and stretched to 4:3 ..
How can I do that?? 've Tried everything and am with my Latin s.end ...

Hi,
on the fly without having to open now Compressor: Use it erstmal export with quicktime conversion. I used Compressor only once before `nem year or so, because I really wanted to transfer chapter markers with (but was 4:3). The advantage, if it is pure DVD files goes better with VBR compressor, but with all CBR is less than an hour with 8 Mbit / s with Quicktime a lot faster - and qualitatively the same. In addition, the chapter markers will be transported with the same. Check the manual but once, and write back, what do you have rausgefunden. When I am off again and it will soon find out, I give you notice synonymous.

The next shot in the dark. Even at capturing you will have noticed that the 16:9 anamorphic distortion is displayed (see above), at least for Final Cut Pro 4. The original mpeg2 file is in fact synonymous nor distorted. Only DVD Studio Pro or DVD player straighten the picture again, if the defaults were correct. Could it be, right?

And) even a small event in the preview window (according to the manual: the top right are two buttons. The left is the default case for the original ( ""), the right of the output view.

Hi,
Have - yet - G4, and therefore can not create HD-DVD with DVD Studio Pro 4. I would be interested s.den results. The new Apple DVD player can play these DVDs to Tiger (not physically of the disc, but playing as a file of the hard drive)?
If so, it would not be possible to buy himself a MiniMac as a DVD player for a plasma TV? No No, I'm not rich, we have a video club and throw together. Am grateful for any information.
