Frage von OlafKling:I'm totally confused because I can not find anywhere on the Internet clear Blu Ray Specs.
Want of EOS 7D films transfer to Blu Ray.
7D offers the following in PAL format:
1920x1080 24
1920x1080 25
Which format should I take to get it on a PAL Blu Ray Ruckel-and loss?
What a PAL Blu Ray Specs for exactly? Only 1080i50 and 1080p25? Why 1080p24?
Sorry for my confusion, I am currently self ;-)

as far as I know play Bluray player, among other things 1080i50 and 1080p25 1080p24 as synonymous with 23.976 fps and 1080p.
Probably they are synonymous then surely the interlaced NTSC can play. And probably soon be synonymous 1080p50.
What troubles because one or the specification ... shall be as similar as with the DVD player then. After a certain time could then play the synonymous MPEG1 / 2 in various versions (primarily China, Korea and Taiwan Manufacturer etc.) And in the end came so happily adds MPEG4 ASP even synonymous.

A BD can theoretically number format. 24p is only interesting if the source material is film. Here in Europe we've always makes a speedup of 4% by shooting, so they run on TV with 25p. At 24p it is always a risk that the material s.Television jerky (because not all the new devices can natively 24p mode and old can ONLY 50i).
For your production, I would therefore propose 25p - also provide more pictures per second for smoother playback of motion.

1080p25 is available in the BD spec is not, we could accommodate it via PsF in a 1080i stream. However, the difference between 24 and 25 images is so low that I would rather go on 25p to 24p on a 1080i.
