Frage von tobsen:Synonymous Have seen other numbers, sometimes synonymous four digits.
Almost always in the MPEG context, partly synonymous, I believe MPEG-1 and -4.
Google and Wikipedia on synonymous MPEG I really did not weitergeholfen.
Has what with standards (ISO / SMTPE / etc) do? Or color sampling (?)
Perhaps i-frames / GOP pattern?
Thanks
Tobi

Where have you seen this 224? Did you perhaps more 422? That would be the case in fact the sampling.
4:2:0 is commonly synonymous, but there are synonymous values as 4:2:2:2, the fourth number is then available) for the alpha channel (transparency.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
No, this is definitely are not typical sampling combinations.
Ich habs now in a HD MPEG-2 clip in MPEG Streamclip 1.9.2 found (Cmd + I) for info window:
Type: MPEG program stream
Duration: 0:02:03
Data Size: 287.43 MB
Bit Rate: 19.47 Mbps
Video Tracks:
224 MPEG-2, 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 25 fps, 25.00 Mbps, upper field first
Audio Tracks:
192 MP2 stereo, 48 kHz, 384 kbps
Have I been synonymous, but 4-digit (1411 MPEG-4 or so) times, but unfortunately not so white ..
(Audio -) data rate of synonymous does not fit ..
Antwort von WoWu:
Hello Tobsen.
The numbers indicate the (audio)-MINIMUM bitrate of the MPEG version.
An SVCD has a sampling rate of 41,000 and usually a bit rate of 192 kb / s.
A DVD takes against a sample rate of 48,000 and a minimum abitrate of 224 kb / s.
The same applies to 1411th
Both values are normalized with MPEG audio bandwidth.
Antwort von tobsen:
Very interesting. Thanks, Wolfgang!
What happens if you fall below the minimum bit rate? Then if you're "just" not standard compliant, but almost all the players play, or has other consequences?
Why are there only for audio, but not for video?
Or is the example from MPEG Streamclip 224 minimum video bit rate, and 192 the minimum for audio? The ratio is true but in my opinion not quite ..
On good German: why such a bad video, and good audible MP2 audio? ;-)
Do you know happen to know if these values (224 / 192) are written in the file (can be altered if necessary so synonymous / different are of File to File / cause of problems might be) or whether this is a universal list of the MPEG brings Streamclip of house? 've Seen that is as yet no other player that is displaying this data.
Gruss
Tobi
