Hello,
Panasonic is what makes a progressive Photshot, two fields are combined into a "full screen". Since the horizontal Resolutiondabei becomes larger, Panasonic expects to easily gained the pixels. But is not quite 100% accurate with 3.1 million pixels in the net Stillimage my opinion. In addition, Panasonic uses the entire CCD area to generate Stillimage's, it changed so often synonymous in the Focal Stillimage mode.
Fuji as synonymous cheating a little in the digicam field with its Super CCD with a different arrangement of the sensors are (from 3 million pixels = almost comparable 6 million pixels although this is a divisive issue, you have fought bravely, but with some 5 million cameras, and are on a par)

Pixels are not the same pixel. Once a pixel mean pixels. A pixel consists of 3 color dots eigendlich. Therefore, we must reckon with 1 chip cameras by 3rd But there are synonymous, especially in the digital photography verwante Beyer chips. Then the pixels are indeed synonymous dots, green, however, to 50% and of 25% blue and red. For these are then interpolated pixels.
In the Arri D-20 will come out in HDTV Mode 4 million from two million.

Normal is to my knowledge, but rather by 3 mal 2
3x800.000 pixels) are not a true 2.4 MP but nearly 800.000 dots (pixels. As there who want to come to real 3.1 MP is a mystery to me. Perhaps due to pixel shift, that is interpolated through multiple exposures.
