Can someone please tell me the difference between the "crooked" and the integer values to reveal the image data? Or perhaps call a literary source? Although I have times where, from where the twisted values, but not whether the Integer is a difference (or is only written for simplicity rounded up). A Canon 5DMKII takes so on with 30p, Edius can only aer 29.97 p. Is this then associated with a loss of quality? I'm here a little confused.
Thank you ever for any advice!

From the theory, I know that in fact this very difference of 0.3 fps is, and that it not only is Korinthenkackerei.
From the theory, because I live happily in a 25p-Land. The 5D can 25p. 30p, however nowhere is standard, except for the 5D before a firmware update enhanced their skills, and therefore should not be used.

Edius then tries to adapt by a quality-Überblendverfahren the frame rates. (You recognize it when you weiterschaltet the individual manual: Where's movement in the Picture, How Is double contours.) Remedy: In the Bin the affected clips highlight Rechtscklick Properties, then under Video Info specify the frame rate 29.97 manual.
To answer the initial question again: Yes, there is a difference between the integer values and the crooked. But unfortunately the go Manufacturer part quite careless with the information to. For example, Edius is called the NTSC-based project templates simplify "60 Hz", although all Edius templates are based in reality at 59.94 Hz.

NTSC SMPTE 259M regulates the Standrad. The provides a framing rate of 30 fps, NTSC is the exact value but 29.97 fps If today 30p says you really mean when you think 29.97 or 60p, you will work in 59.95. But even that is not even true, because when written is 59.95 or 29.97, is meant in reality 60/1001 and 30/1001 and that's just not the same at 60p with 59.95. In the format issues so there is a complicated any confusion. Even camera manufacturers do because some bugs. The Panasonic HVX200 has its menu in a setting of 24Hz synonymous, but are in reality 23.98. The above format inherited from the old black-and-white television time in the U.S., because when suddenly the Color and with that came a new ink in the television signal to, they stayed 10% below the nominal frequency because the carrier frequency for NTSC interference with this newly created led color subcarrier. Such "faulty designs" led eventually to the "uneven" bar numbers .... The only difference is the timecode that was because of the twisted values necessarily the "drop-frame TC introduced" in order with the real time to correspond back. But of course there is no frame skipped, but who expects 30 frames per second, synonymous want to see on the TC 30 pictures ..

Would be nice if we could count on that. But some Canon cameras take fps in 30.00.

There are, however, no standardization ...??!! What work for? I mean, if a couple of companies for simplicity write 30 instead of crooked numbers, I can understand still, especially since it is ultimately synonymous properly so, but for a clock, there is no difference so now .... unless the camera is broken.
Antwort von Marco:
There are in fact many camera models, which produce round 30.00 fps and the material would be deformed accordingly, if one would interpret it as 29.97 and render accordingly. It is not only an inappropriate language. There are (almost too often) both.
