Frage von alwin:What's the deal with because the DOF with the 5D in Comparison to the smaller sensor on the 7D.
I can say that a 2.8er s.der 5D Lens included an equal length (1.6 crop) Lens s.der 7D with 1.4 equivalent? 1.8 or more? Or did I by the Crop of the focal lengths 7D me yes auto extended an advantage in terms of DOF?
If the intensity ratio of synonymous like this?

Antwort von deti:
The size of the area depends on sharpness of Aperture, Focal, distance and sensor size.
Without now is to unpack the mathematical formulas:
- The larger aperture and focal
- The smaller the sensor
- The closer the subject is s.Lens
the lower the Focus range shown.
The best just try even under http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html
One arrives at an object at 3m distance at f/2.8 and
- On a full frame sensor at 50mm 61cm
- In at 50mm (* 1.6 = 80mm) an APS-C sensor only 15cm

so that one can thus leave->
s.der 5D is a 2.8er Focus range approximately the same as a 1.4er s.der 7D.
The same is synonymous to the ISO noise ..

exactly with the computer I have played around a bit and then I come to my results, thanks for the confirmation.
So I'll get me ne 5d with the 24-70s l zoom and have virtually the same area as ne Crop with the entire focal length at 1.4, which is already a huge advantage.

Deti that's somehow not correct? how can the schärfentiefernbereich at aps-c is so much smaller than full frame. the computer provides cheap somehow always funny.
or I overlooked at the late hour was complete: D
the sharpness is just cut out the deep changes, but how is it meant the computer ... hm

It's all about the visual "effect" and who comes forward to the point (2.8 in Crop 1.4)
Because of course there still differences, but the differences are marginal then.
ISO 6400 for the 5D and 2.8 is approximately within the same impression as ISO 2000, Picture of the 7D with 1.4.
I would buy a 5D but only if you really only on video and is without AF system and additional Rooms can!
The measuring system of the 5D AF is better than fürn ass and work for a 1.4FB at dusk, AF synonymous much more than with the Zoom Lens.
Also not to forget the beautiful bokeh meißt respectively, recorded in the blur on FB!
ISt but negligible at 90% here ..
