Hello Forum, I'm an absolute newcomer and amateur / amateur

First attempt of 2 travel videos on each 3 hours and 4.5 hours, which I after a long long time finally s.Computer record, cut (with significantly reduced - because an infinite amount of 'garbage laymen') process and then would like to burn to DVD. More than a decisive cut and title mitgeben I actually did not before.

Computer AMD 3000 + processor 1GB RAM
Remaining hard disk capacity 60 GB
IEEE 1394

Questions:

Do I have any tape with 'video recording' until the end play (If I had a tape with LP -1 1 / 2 hours -
have recorded, so I have 1 1 / 2 hours to wait until the recording is)
or you can stop in between (pause) and the current partial result and then click edit next press?

As for me in test shots of not so important videos already off, is the enormous amount of data, after starting the car Aufnahmein video in AVI format.
Do I have the beginning of s.einen error or can the amount of data-even if not as above already preset by LP -
influence?
I understand then why not synonymous with the software info is:

... can the amount of data yet ... affect? That can be by one - if the software allows it - right into a higher-compressed data is captured. Without any real hardship, but we should not do: It is better to always have the highest possible quality to work and only when everything is ready, into the target format.

Quite simply: The DVD video lands ultimately not in DV-AVI format, in which the camcorder records, but compressed in the significantly higher - and for a DVD, according to proposed standard - MPEG2 format. That is the whole secret ;-)

Why did Ulead (the software version is admittedly not the latest) in the System Requirements 500 MB - 4GB better
or 30 gb
Should the recommendations not be much higher?

Why did ... ... in Ulead System Requirements 500 MB - 4GB more ... These figures relate only to the space, the installation of the program itself. How much of this you to edit video, Ulead can not know ;-)
