Frage von n-gageboy:S.alle Hello!
I found an old 8mm camera at my house. Her name is Eumig C3M and the operating instructions it needs night double (2x8mm) film.
Does anyone know if and where there is such a thing yet? I've found some vendors on the Internet, transfer the 8mm film to DVD. Do I send just the full movie roles, or do I develop the film first and then let hinschicken?
If someone with this issue knows that, I would be very grateful!
Best regards

Hi,
Doppel8 is indeed from her Picture a little smaller than Super8. But by the film transport, the image stand - depending on the condition of the unit - to be better than Super 8. Was a good format, just to handle the consumer to better Super8 was, as you just had to make only the tape and that was it almost ...
In Doppel8 You have the film reels - if possible - insert in the dark, and after a passage of the 7.5 m, the film in the camera "turned", ie now located on the winding reel film is inserted abwickelseitig, and then it'll next. The footage is 16mm wide, and the first half exposed, and then after the changes the other page. In the lab, the film is then developed in the middle and the two are now separated completely 8mm wide strips joined together.
Footage of this is now back on the market (www.wittner-cinetec.de), it can be developed synonymous. Only the sample is a chapter of its own. The range is great ...
For the Eumig C3M I have not found any documentation www.super8wiki.com (which have non-synonymous available super8 devices), so you'd have to first of all to find out which battery the light meter does. As a rule, were the mercury batteries, which now no longer permitted. Replacement batteries would be as zinc / air batteries. But whether it fits with your Eumig ... no idea.
In any case, you should first be lucky if you meet the requirements for a film exposure. Follow if you have ever even Lust and Money for a test, while the instructions, and it should not go much wrong.
The developed films then you should first watch on the projector - which one should be synonymous and the synonymous should be in reasonably good shot. Important here is that Super8 projectors for Doppel8 (ie Normal8) are not eligible. But there were synonymous, multifunctional devices (synonymous of Eumig).
Have fun

Thank you very much for your very detailed answer! Helped me beat!
Now I have another question.
Is there any way to find out how many minutes, for example: go up a 7.5m film. My Camera is 16, 24, 32 fps. Have no information on the web to be found.
Greetings
