Hello,

I want my old high 8mm films somehow digitize?

I thought s.Brennen with a cheap DVD Burners.

Is this OK or is there something more simpler and better opportunities?

Of the way you described would be a way to digitize Hi8 recordings. The only question is, what do you do with the digital recordings then?

You have to digitize the films s.PC first, then encode and authors and finally you can burn the result. For digitizing, there are various possibilities such as D8 camcorder, camcorder with analog-in, or graphics card (described here several times in the forum).

If you like this is too complicated, you should instead use a separate DVD recorder. The films can encode in real time and write (burn).

I think with cheap DVD Burners he meant a DVD recorder. Should he stop brenneb in real time.

That's what I want to know. Quite a few video enthusiasts digitize their recordings to edit it then s.Computer too. And then questions arise because some problem occurred because as DivX-compressed video recordings - positive words can be edited - not good.

For this reason, I think it is important first and foremost, know the goal, and not the path. Only then can I give useful tips. ;-)
