I have read so much about PowerDirector, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas Video, Pinnacle Studio, Edius Neo, Sony Vegas, etc., that my head is buzzing. I've tried all the test versions. It seems to me there is no DV editing software that is user friendly, stable, AVCHD can deal adequately with material that contains sufficient features, plug-in capable, etc. Wherever you have a closer look some (rightly) critical users s.jeder software suspend anything. Not that we misunderstand us: in most cases I can even understand the criticism quite well. Every software is missing some aspect that they would recommend without reservation. These aspects are then indeed there again with another software, but this is just synonymous then again their deficits.
I'm totally desperate, but I would finally begin to cut my movies !!!!!
Please, please can you help me. What kind of software (with appropriate cost (Edius Neo is already very very much s.der upper limit) and suitable) for AVCHD editing on above-described notebook is for me as an ambitious newcomer is not next spring, then (just want to upgrade again) for now really fully suited and recommended?

I am very satisfied with Edius especially in terms of speed. Have now instead of the Neo Edius version 5 series. Had Premiere, Sony Vegas, Magix VD 15, Ulead etc, but not going so stable.
On my laptop, with 2 * 2Ghz cores when running Hdv cut pretty fast and totally stable with firewire capture etc; hab ne HV20 and Windows XP and I have always shied away from ne-AVCDH buy Camera. Had hoped, with Core i7 could be cut now ne realistic option. Hard to believe, as the producers s.den users' PCs vorbeiproduzieren although AVCHD still really no visible advantages over MPEG-Encoding offers, right?
And whether the new cams are somehow better than the good old HV20 with a big chip and Cinegamma ...
