Frage von Erwin Holzner:Hi,
knows someone, whether with the new Pinnacle Studio 11 of synonymous
AVCHD movies (1920 x 1080 i-DVB-S2 HDTV recordings from television,
H.264 codec) can be cut?
From the Page of Pinnacle, this is not clear.
Has there been someone with experience?

Only cut I suppose? That was indeed at Studio 10 has not even
correctly ... MPEG2 streams were still in S9, without re -
compress cut. That was not with S10.
Smart rendering was das
And therefore I would assume that it is cut can
but it must then re-compress.
What says the PI-forum on this?

Now's not upset - AVCHD is a
Entry-format camera. Just because DVB-S2 also uses H.264
is still a long way from AVCHD. AVCHD uses a special
Variant of MPEG2-TS, as they are synonymous on the BluRay is used.

Also not quite true. AVCHD is MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. One must
there always something to watch if you have a device or a standard codec
described. The whole standard is often synonymous's just a question
any name on a device you can stick to.
AVCHD is a recording format for your camcorder, and even HD H.264 or
MPEG-4 AVC.
DVB-S2 is a standard for satellite TV, synonymous and H.264 HD.
And BluRay are different codecs allowed: MPG2, H.264 and
Microsoft's V1.
What looks like where it is played depends synonymous of the packaging. AVCHD
does halt on some BluRay players, mainly because most Sonyand
Panasonic because according Slippers.
And on "cutting of H.264":
At the moment still quite difficult, it's probably s.besten with Magix Video
deluxe 2007/2008 pros or with Pinnacle Studio 11 Ultimate (Source:
active digital video). H.264 is simply no good for cutting the appropriate
Codec. Professional Programs, therefore, like to use its own codec and
make during import a recoding.

Already clear ;-).

First of all you have between the container and codec differ. The
Containers of AVCHD is an MPEG-2 transport stream, the H.264 codec. The
Devices "standard" then make the exact parameters and restrictions
of container and codec. With AVCHD and BluRay is the format HDMV
used as a container, which is a normal compared with MPEG-2-TS of
188 to 192 byte packet length has increased. Details about this
4-byte additional header synonymous, I can not say.
