Frage von EyTschej:I have with my new cam for the first time a video captured and do not fit me two things: the size and "strip" with fast objects.
The clip is 3:21 minutes long and is currently 137 MB in size. I have retained the original format 720xdingens, as the 25 fps. Compressed with XVID to 100% quality. Sound mp3 compressed (64k/stereo). For 3 minutes with 130 MB but are simply too much.
How can I with the XVID codec receive a smaller file size without losing too great s.Bildqualität?
My other problem is "strip" with fast objects. So it is in the video to cyclists and be partially decomposed into strips ". The static objects are displayed normally, and synonymous with the cyclists, the strips are not permanent. It is horizontal stripes. Let's hope that we can now take a picture of what bands I mean, ahem.
How can I straighten wegbekommen these stripes?
In experiments with smaller size and less quality (90%) I got nauseous pigments especially around their heads. Hmmm ... I think the pros call these pigments "noise"? Because the strips are still dear to me, I must confess ...
Antwort von Peter S.:
The strips come from the interlaced, with the most cameras, recorders and television run. In Television provides the well-off, on the PC monitor is not particularly good, as this can only represent frames and operates in a different color space. To strip synonymous (as a means to get rid of comb effect), you need to deinterlace. Some very good filter for VirtualDub are available.

Before you are altering radically the Picture, now read the thread

Okay, now I have time messing around with the deinterlacing. When the strips were still 720xdingens at halving on 360xdingens they disappeared. I have this subjective impression that the picture quality is somewhat blurry, but good - is indeed synonymous halved;)
At XVID to 100% I now got a file of size 100 MB, with only 90% like it shrank to 40 MB. In light pigments were formed, which could get over but with a reduction of over 50% of the total.
So I get off the strip by halving the 360xdingens. On 720xdingens that remains, is it? Have I overlooked something?
And because of the reduction in file size without significant loss in quality: I'm not quite satisfied. There's this "Pure Pwnage" videos. I compared the times pi times the thumb with my 40 MB version, and extrapolated that my file will still twice as large as just at the Pure Pwnage episodes. So what can be done to reduce the file size? The pack 15 minutes in 80 MB, I is only 3.5 minutes in 40 MB: (- and the picture quality from my point of view on a same level. Maybe a different codec? But is not the very best XVID codec for PC playback?

As you've surely taken from the above-linked thread, there are several ways of deinterlacing. A good overview of different methods you can find on the website synonymous

With the colors, there was no problem. I mei ancient Premiere 6.0. I have the next few days earlier times hardly any time, will then again play around with interlacing (under Virtual Dub).
Since I already got off strip but by halving, I'm currently more on our tips for better file compression sharp;)
