Frage von glaser2:Hello,
I have here some AVI movies, which I would like to burn to CD or DVD. All together as an AVI file a circumference of 8GB. I Burn it on DVD, it would be ca.33GB. The quality remains the same, but a little too big.
SVCD quality is synonymous of the top, but so that I can synonymous CD's overdone without end. WMV and MPEG2, VCD, and I have already tried synonymous, but because the quality becomes Miess.
But I had seen several movies already in very good quality as VCD / MVCD. How maache to that?
Has anyone Maybe a good tip?

svcd's and dvd's each using the mpeg2 format! The quality is however strong the video data rate (bitrate) of dependent. The higher this is set, the better the video looks later made synonymous (the filesize but does likewise;))
A codec for divx avis) (UACh is very much used to reduce possible loss of quality videos with little ";)
I assume that you are playing your film material over firewire to the computer, ie as a dv-avi ... synonymous here should be the mpeg2 format for output to dvd or svcd synonymous ... especially synonymous because of compatibility, since many dvd players play dvd's next synonymous svd's ... wmv to this sector, while not yet widely used (supported) has, however, the quality synonymous with the corresponding data rate is neat!

Hello Caucasian
From the following sentence, I conclude that your AVI file is already Divx, because otherwise you probably difficult to come with a DVD to 4-fold:
... All together as AVI files have a size of 8GB. I Burn it on DVD, it would be ca.33GB. The quality remains the same, but a little too big.
... How many minutes are s.Filmmaterial that? On one DVD can max 2 hours in acceptable to good quality.
