Infoseite // AVI file to an average of x-fold larger than the original (TMPEnc + Virtual Dub)

Frage von BigJim:

Hello,

I am in terms of absolute Beginners Video Editing.

The following problem:
I have cut with TMPEnc from an avi file a small part. After saving / coding, the resulting file is approximately 50% larger than the original. Even with Virtual Dub that is.

The file created with TMPEnc has (according to Windows Explorer) a bit rate of 705kBit / s, the original File 55kBit / s. Why changeable TMPEnc the corresponding data of Oritinal file? Where can I change it?

I assumed that - without changing the default settings - the resulting file through the elimination of the excised portion would be even smaller than the original.

Is it not possible without cutting out the major part of the video settings easily? Does the avi file to be re-encrypted each time completely?

How to get it to be over all the settings of the original file and the file geschnittete be smaller (at least not larger) than the original?

Thanks for any answer in advance!

But this is possible. In VirtualDub you use for the Direct Stream Copy mode (in the Video menu).

In TMPGEnc I have always assumed that you convert AVI to MPEG is, can cut but not AVI to AVI.

During the conversion (the encoding) of AVI to MPEG, you can set the bit rate when the Wizard mode leaves. 55kBit / s, however, sounds pretty damn little I s.and afraid to MPEG is the nix.

When else do you need help, try and describe more precisely what you do. A sample video can you as a registered user to attach. Eighth, but the fact that there is nothing with copyright of third parties.

Good luck
The fat Stefan
