I have here are an Avid Xpress and Media Composer one .. With both, I would like to capture in parallel to save time. Now Avid XPress can of course only 8bit. You can see the difference between 8bit and 10bit, and it makes a big difference at all, as I capture? Does anyone in this project, other problems?

what is bit 8 should remain synonymous eight bits. When you change to 10 bit Fehlerdiffusio is used to fill the missing colors (shades) by a certain Fixelstruktur.
This leads to visible artifacts. Moreover, the conversion is not accurate.
If your final product should be bit then finally back 8, the whole thing happened again with losses other way around.
Very discouraged, if you care about quality.
