In most cases, accept DVD-only recorder or DV camcorder as a recorder player, but not any computer. The Avid has with nothing to do.
It should be at least a DVD recorder, which synonymous computer via Firewire recognizes ... but ask me what model it was.

Try simply s.DVD recorder channels until you runterzuzappen to DV nation (often switches the DVD recorder AV1, AV2, AV3 to DV IN) while you are on the AVID timeline playing.
Often it brings nothing to the DVD recorder via the DV menu to turn in, because he then a controllable DV camcorder expected.
I can only confirm that this is not s.AVID lies.
