Hello,
how did you connect your camcorder s.den Calculator? He is recognized of Windows? What is in the file manager under imaging devices?
See synonymous:
FireWire FAQ">Camcorder / recorder s.PC connect and capture images
-> 1 (b) camcorder / recorder via Firewire or USB to hook up?
Antwort von Spiu:
have it both via Firewire as synonymous tried via USB. Windows detects the camera synonymous (at least when properly Firewire) and it shows in the file manager synonymous. eg with windows movie maker I can capture synonymous.
In Avid I then selected synonymous with "Deck Settings" the Firewire port and the OHCI port. Avid has not listed but unfortunately this camera.
perhaps other ideas?
Schonmal Thanks for the help!

Sven What do you think is not listed with? At Avid, there are many cameras not listed, there's my XM2 are not synonymous. Therefore choose "Generic" from the camera and so it should work properly.
That is not going to work the Firewire port, I can not really imagine if it comes with other programs.
I have moved recently synonymous Vegas experience to Avid, and was synonymous find that the program to score some pretty rumzickt - especially with regard to capturing (woe betide you minimize the Avid Capture to make way for something else, then again when it is maximized remains basically hang the picture or no longer builds correctly on).
Generally synonymous Your camera should work.

Hello Jan,
I've already tried synonymous and synonymous unfortunately this has not worked: - / That's just ridiculous that I can capture for example, with Windows Movie Maker. now I'm gone to as DV-AVI with WMM to capture and then import to the Avid. Halt takes time and I need a temporary double-disk space.
If this is not perfect, but if it works ...

There is the possibility of synonymous turn on the camera just before Öffen of Avid Xpress, so that is not Windows, but first AVID recognizes the camera. I have my camera DCR-TRV120E made to run.
However tricky and you have to lie in wait for the right time.
At that time I used AVID XpressDV 3.5.

Although some manufactures that the problem has been mentioned here, but because I was synonymous with the problem I encountered an English forum on this Page: http://www.avid.com/onlinesupport/supportcontent.asp?productID=114&contentID=7965&browse = And after running the command described there "regsvr32 DVBuffers.ax" under the Windows Start> Run, now works for me, the triggering of the camera under the Xpress HD version. The problem lies primarily with the HD versions of Avid.
Hope to have helped,
Wieland
