Well, not very good quality you'll get, even though the camcorder; mini-jack connection. So either buy another camcorder or record sound external and join in cutting ... What exactly do you want to record it?

Mint400 is right, the HC has 17 no intelligent accessory shoe, no zuzuspielen AV IN to Music, it looks bad for your external micro.
