Hey guys, I've got a big problem:
I work with my friends for about 1 years s.einem major film project. The movie with all the files located on an external hard drive. Now I want to the film after some time and continue editing Adobe asks me "where is the file ..?" All files are offline and I need all indicate where they are. In small dimensions, I had such a thing ever, but now he finds not a single file! Every single wav file into the hundreds of folder, would last forever! Help, white wine of a solution? Can not somewhere the root directory? And how do I it out that the next time do not open again no file can be found?

the problem I had with Premiere xmal and until now it just happens for larger projects again and again.
What I can say to you is from experience and has no guarantee of success: In the meantime, I have noticed that this problem always occurs when one plate on the video by hand any files changed, something superfluous or deletes something to add, so is clearly not at premiere .
My I-functioning solutions 1 Premiere Project file, eg video. PPJ directly on the disk by double-clicking to open, premiere is yes then it started and sometimes folding it and the project files together again.
2. Premiere If you ask where the files are you just going to "skip all", then most of the files are actually gone back since the only one evntl. Effects, etc. must be re-render.
This I must say I am with the 6 versions of Premiere and do not work with Pro.
But just synonymous and for larger projects is a backup is recommended.

It may perhaps be that when you connect the external hard drive a different drive letter of the hard drive is assigned. Then he no longer knows where the files are. Look if this is the case!
