Dear All,
I hope you can help me. During our holiday has my Sohnemann with his new second hand Panasonic Digital Camera added about 8 tapes of footage. Due Recommendation of friends we bought for processing Premiere Elemetnts 1st Unfortunately I was not initially present when the tapes were recorded. It did not happen directly in Adobe but in another program, Power-Cinema. The avi files, he then loaded into Premiere Elements 1.0 - projects, much work in the cutting and background music, etc. inserted. After burning the DVD, the big disappointment was that the picture was pretty bad, so it jerky and the picture quality is synonymous s.sich rather terrible, no comparison with the original recording of tape to television.
Well troubleshooting. Irritates me even once, the fact that I can record directly with Premiere but most probably is the poor quality DVD with the transforming power of cinema to explain.
During the recording premiere is synonymous with everything in the green zone, but occurs when playing a completely distorted screen, probably a codec issue. Well, why did they buy so licensed software - call to adobe: Yes, it must be a codec problem on XP only install of Microsoft should be used. OK, the uninstall of DivX - no change. Then I probably made a mistake - Premiere completely uninstalled and reinstalled, no synonymous change, moreover, the Project recognizes the avi files just as offline ... If I add these in the medium avi files will again make known to me bleating to Premiere, it is no longer an original video - and audio file, but only detects an audio file. I have now actually caused the meltdown?
As a final solution was for me to do a clean install of XP and Premiere 1.0, a on a separate disk of the PC. So ANY other installations / Programs, not even a Windows update. Only XP CD and CD premiere. Yet again this broken screen .... I do not know next, you have another idea?
Incidentally, I have a screen capture with the "offending" picture, if it wants jemnad see is a pdf.

Hello Peter,
since you have really been through a lot! What was s.Qualität vergeigt when capturing, you can then iron out rarely again. For this reason, I would capture all the shots once again synonymous when a lot of time and making labor costs.
Regarding the problem with the projects, unfortunately I have not really synonymous striking idea. I would probably completely flattening the calculator, and reinstall the previous recording projects, and "forget" to do not to procrastinate.

Thanks for your answer! I have to reinstall already made (see text), but no change had become concerned that it could be s.der hardware. That would be really crap, I just for this video story much earlier than intended have purchased a new PC, because of the incompatibility of the old processor with Premiere ...

Basically, it is not safe s.Premiere element.
First I would check how the raw avi PowerCinema on DVD comes out. So no not you take a avi file on ne DVD (RW) burn and look at the player. Then you already are times the quality.
Secondly, one should take the same course PREMEL.
Third, sometimes the tiniest detail. Look it over, whether it is selected in your project settings
NTSC instead of PAL. That would explain it all.
The codec problem has more to do with your previously imported files - a calculator flattening and reinstalling was m. E. unnecessary.
