Hello Sascha,
that only uncompressed AVI with "short breaks" is running, I'm not surprised. An average (!) PC is hardly able to process the large amount of data in real time.
Unfortunately, you did not write much about the Project. Hi8 was the source, but in what format you have it now on the calculator? Digital video (D1 / DV PAL)? Which codec was used for digitization and storage? What project setting was made in Magix? And is the title videogerecht or you have a serif font such as Times s.end set?
PS: If an editor does not have enough of all this idea to export a video scene? ;-)
