I'll go soon (; 2 month) to Amrika and look for a laptop for video cut there?
How about with the Sony F series (, has anyone experienced it)?
Or is there a better one?

That depends on cut s.welches material you want. DV, HDV, AVCHD, ...
Depends on all s.wie powerful the laptop should be.
AVCHD you get even with the latest models hardly cut smoothly, at least not when being added if necessary, a few effects.
You have to be very mobile = small laptop (14 "/ 15")
If the only rum anyway, then possibly large laptop (17 "or more)
Thinking synonymous s.die different voltage in the U.S.. This may be the laptop or the charger.
If a lot of material comes together is a big hard drive important. If necessary. an external drive for archiving.
If it is "only" about computer hardware, then a Dual Core CPU 2.5 GHz range s.etwa quite loose. Depends synonymous of the software in use.
Oh, and do not forget Firewire input.
