Frage von gnoi:Hello,
It is possible that one an audio track of a VHS movie as a paper trail, "abuse"? In this particular case I will make a movie, the main track as a soundtrack, and record on the adjacent lane with one Converter with RS232 (2400, N, 8,1) to switch devices synchronously when playing the movie. The left (or right) audio output is then returned s.einen converter that adjusts the voltage level, and connected synrchon this s.einem controller, the device switches off. My question: Is the recording process (Mudulation) of audio tracks, a stereo-S-VHS recorder to a general rectangular pulses (digital data) with suitable include 2400 baud?
Antwort von Stefan:
. Try But of Design here, I would be uploading any digital data. If you need to switch the RS232 side, one can perhaps exploit an old modem as a Converter ...
But why did you take a VCR having an appropriate port for external handling and timecode. Spontaneously come to my VCR with LANC (Control-L) or Pana-Edit jacks. Or equal to a with RS232 as my Philips SVHS.
Good luck

Thanks for the quick reply.
Back to the Converter:
This is eigendlich the lesser problem. I wanted the voltage levels with just one MEX232 and voltage divider "small" to make and with a small amplifier and the MEX232 raise the level again. On a modem I would need the output but still synonymous of telephone audio levels to convert (or level of the phone is already a recordable audio signal?).
For recorder
I had already thought synonymous s.solch a VCR, just because it comes up s.diese of external timecode. If the RS232 port of your Philips SVHS suited or she serves only the remote control of the recorder?
Thanks Volker
Antwort von Stefan:
The modem history has just occurred to me just as I was wondering whether digital signals on the audio track is a good idea.
My Philips VR 969 can record a time code and output on RS232. And the recorder can be controlled via RS232.
However, if a model from 1997/1998, and whether it still gives sowas I do not know.
About LANC is usually attributed to synonymous a time code signal. If you are looking in the direction and are bastelwillig, helping you probably IRdeo Project of c't next => www.irdeo.de
Good luck
