So an analog recording (Video 8 / Hi8, VHS-C / S-VHS-C or S-VHS / VHS) was transferred via AV IN in the Canon MV 550i (Digital - on mini-DV), and then to the PC? Then, these factors must be Firewire, the slightly older MV 550i has indeed synonymous only USB 1.1, even with newer models ala MV 7xx or 8xx, if any, can only be dubbed with 320x240 resolution.
