Hello,
Although I have already read a lot about the topic of Apple's Final Cut and Blue ray, but my Apple dealer has confused me somewhat.
It's been about 6 years ago, where I worked with Macs. The last years of only PCs. Now I would like again to change MAC and Final Cut Studio.
Yesterday I have therefore chosen a Mac Pro, it's the next day ready. * Freu *
The dealer, however, said that Blu Ray will not work on a Mac, so they do not sell synonymous Blue Ray drives.
But we occasionally rotate synonymous synonymous Messefilme And when the then rotated to HD, but all should be played sensibly later by Blay Ray.
How do you do that? or is the statement of the dealer crap?

QMS - rubbish with sauce. Is the Mac but damn, what can one drive while the controlling program know the correct IDE / ATA / SCSI commands which then sends the vulture, if the data structure s.sich already exists. Sure, Final Cut Pro & Co. still do not BluRay, but there are still Encore, toast, etc.. Also has just WWDC tomorrow morning all of this can already be different.

You can add a Blu-ray burner for 150 euros to install and do it with Encore authoring. Ergo: quite possible. FCS should help but slow!

Encore I have not. Bzw is only on the PC, but when the toast with which is indeed in order.
Support for DVD Studio least HD? That would be stupid if not. Otherwise, the switch to the MAC would somehow be pointless (or at least if in future, only HD is needed).

DVD Studio Pro can not Blu-rays produce. Only HD-DVDs. One encoding to H.264 or AVC is possible via Quicktime or Compressor. Rudimentary authoring worried then toast; s.besten in a very new version.

DH worked in the FCS movie in Toast to import and burn there on Blue Ray? The best way (probably with an external burner, so I read it at least)?
And in the foreseeable future, there is an FCS hopefully fix in the DVD Studio is synonymous finally realized.

And in the foreseeable future there will hopefully be a FCS update not before the end of the year, since before the OS10.6 will probably nix and 10.6 to come in September.
What output format you have it?

Currently we are still working with SD and PC is because the original format DV Avi.
When upgrading to the MAC (; of even the next day comes), we are working for the time being synonymous nor synonymous with SD.
It is envisaged shortly but a shift to the SonyEX3 or similar. Since the HD source material is then be sure erstmal mpeg2.
