> Today it was so as far as Apple provides with the present day far in advance has already announced his first set-top box with the simple name of Apple TV. The reactions range of cheering analysts, after the Apple iPod is now in the final mass of the living room entertainment market will see through to the cool feature comparison lists of tech geeks, the list of what Apple TV can not do everything. What is it then - the Apple TV?

Apple TV - overpriced gimmick or the future of cinema? Rather, the end of cinema. Not this thing specifically, but the trend, so the Apple reinforced. We need bandwidth in the network transmission imagine those with an HD video stream is flowing freely, and an interface to the "TV" (rather Communications and Entertainment Center), the whole buffers and weiterschaufelt. Download? Check your own behavior. Whoever secures a video if it directly as a transfer can be seen?
Mp3? Disk? All stuff that sometime dusty and robs the place.
Especially the Apple TV could be cool for remote presentations. A larger hard drive and full HD support, but missing, just the possibility, (HD) DVDs which control / play it (limitation by iTunes).

Hello Axel,
Thank you for your comment.
The future I see the same. Corresponding bands, TV and (home) movies to video-on-demand basis to make masses.
However, if one considers the current situation, then the DVD is clearly a winner dar. first time last year the proceeds from DVD sales, the cinema box office revenue s.der beaten. With future HD DVDs and DVDs is currently the audience that is no longer the movie experience or need to appreciate it. It will be interesting to see how these next Dynamics developed in the context of various video-on-demand offerings.
Apropos:
My (desire)-tip for the future of cinema is indeed in a very different direction: the total availability of the media at any time s.jedem city will someday return a movement back into the movies, because the joint experience or Experience a large movie theater in the living room can be difficult to reproduce - perhaps rather wishful thinking - but look, we `n times ...
Antwort von WINner:
The movie with which I see as synonymous.
Neither has the car to the bike, nor the Sodastreamer the pub the Garaus made.
So more of a trend for the Koofmichs.
Regardless of the great technical innovation is the whole thing for me just another attempt by the industry for the incapacitation of consumers.
But perhaps synonymous s.der wisdom of my age, that I no longer have everything, what is offered. :)

That went so fast up this old argument again occurred.
With the cinema feeling I associate personally: Vorführzeiten Inflexible, expensive entrance, chatting & calling Mitbesucher in the room, raving interruption with Pausenwerbund and expensive popcorn.
I prefer the comfortable lie in bed and on the projector definitely watch movies before. With the shorter time between cinema release and DVD release of the delay factor is always less synonymous. For the few blockbusters à la 'Lord Of The Rings' is the big time must-see movies is still there, for the European family drama enough for me my own fabric for a long time.
(Apple TV do I need yet, I have Front Row, thanks to the same functionality already on my MacBook and use it diligently synonymous.)

I think the movie-Rezeptionssituaton more exciting.
It goes away, goes to the movies to a movie to see. It sits in the midst of many people and enjoys the broad, big picture and impressive Tonkulisse. It has a certain collective expectations, often to auto self-fullfilling prohecy will. Everything is bigger and unreal. You can go and sinks in images. Idea presented itself as a perception without perceived as such to be (Baudry). It remains tense in sleep mode, the reference to reality is lost. This makes the charm of the movie but from reception. The thinking is behind the imagination back movies is' more than real "and synonymous" bigger then life ". Nevertheless, just the tension between the "Come Back of thinking" and the "thinking self" the charm of the medium of movies.

Cinemas are not available on DVD as late-dependent recovery. DVDs and, soon, video-on-demand are not necessarily synonymous to a previous Präsentationshype in Movies instructed (see the success of
Lucky Number Slevin). What movies need are spectators, and the flutes go. And the thing with the sense of community that is always called, is for sports or music events, but it does movies, according to opinion polls rather negative (mobile phones, popcorn, chat). For a DVD evening synonymous, I can invite friends at home.
Without cinema, so my prediction, the
scope (size, frame, width) of future films will be small. No doomsday, in my opinion, but one Lord of the Rings will range in so many missing.

the artet While more and more a discussion of principles and resist kino, but I'll still want to give my mustard:
I believe it will continue to cinema, but in extremely reduced form, the number of cinemas in Germany (and worldwide) will drastically reduce and cinema is no longer a mass medium, but something like an amusement park: you go once a year and a purely amazed at the large canvas. This special films produced their effect in large part from the canvas size magic.
the big money then but with dvds made that one at home or beamer s.tft can view it. Your money is the cinema industry continues to earn the same as a substitute home cinema of cinema will be. the film industry may be no preference to where their money comes from, whether of the cinema operators or of the dvd-herstellern/vertrieben.
if one with the pirated copies in the hand gets, then it is my view as outlined above comment. we'll see.

Addendum: except of course, is synonymous dvds video on demand big get out, so all forms of downloads that can comfortably at home via cable / iptv may subscribe. the results but with security, only if appropriate bandwidth is available. and I think it will at least temporarily a neck-and-neck race between dvd and video-on-demand type. because dvd has many advantages: in addition to smooth playback synonymous bonus material, different audio tracks and eastereggs. sachen, to which many do not like. quite apart of independence against a provider. dvds can be synonymous in eienr forest cottage look, you just have to have electricity and the gibts äfter as a highspeed connection.

Video-on-demand at the moment has a big problem: the price! If I find a download, which I then 2 days can look as much as paying for a DVD, then the whole uninteresting and I prefer to buy the DVD.
the results but with security, only if appropriate bandwidth is available. Where you are today. In Switzerland, for example with Bluewin TV already possible.
