Apparently they have changed! So the "small" MacPro is only up to 8GB and "great" to 32GB.
Skurill is synonymous that the 2t most expensive iMac when he refers to the core of the upgraded models teursten is just EUR 30 will be cheaper. Try the times from the Apple Store! No joke!
Apple never had the absolutely TOP graphics cards on offer and it will be synonymous, I believe in the future do not change. Although who NEN iMac in the Radeon 4850 has been well planted underneath power butt. As for the surcharge policy is concerned, I see Apple's always enjoyed with our German car manufacturers. The all stuff can be synonymous to pay mightily. The standard equipment is available for relatively little money but once you s.der Facilities screwed ...
Say if you want to buy a Mac (MacPro exception!) Should be a large hard drive + graphics card to select which one can in retrospect not so easy to replace. RAM, however, afterwards re-equip themselves. This is very simple and is synonymous significantly cheaper!
Ultimately, however, are the chic boxes with ordinary performance and stable operating system. I would not want to switch more ...

Apple offers synonymous incidentally the Radeon HD 4870 for older Macs to. It would be the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 in the Macs replace. Upgrade price $ 200 The 4870 works only with OS X 10.5.7 (Snow Leopard) together. It seems as though this card is synonymous with the new software architecture better on old Macs can be implemented. Since the new Macs probably synonymous only with 10.5.7 (and above) work, should the update so soon due to be synonymous.
Antwort von PowerMac:
10.5.7 is only a newer version of Leopard. 10.6 is Snow Leopard. Consequently, the 4870 with Leopard. Irrespective of this, 10.6 More performance.

hm ... toll, the new 8-Core. I ask myself, as I and my entire collection Firewire400 plates, cameras, audio interfaces, etc. because truth warrior. FW800 is backwards compatible? If yes, you have to connect each to buy an adapter cable. If not ...... sowas Apple would NEVER do it ..... or maybe?

FW800 is compatible with FW400: A simple for a few euros solves the "problem".

Because I would not be so sure, because the report explicitly says that the card only runs s.10.5.7 ....
Antwort von PowerMac:
I understand you do not WoWu. Leopard is 10.5, 10.6 is Snow Leopard. Please take note and use the correct terms synonymous. The 4870 will run with Leopard, but only s.der yet unreleased version 10.5.7. Currently we have 10.5.6. In a few weeks it will be ready.
Antwort von WoWu:
True, thanks for the hint. When "Snow Leopard" actually the version number is 10.6, you did right. This does not change the fact that the card only works s.10.5.7.
Antwort von PowerMac:
Yes, they run only s.10.5.7, so in a few weeks with the Mac Pro "Early 2008".
Antwort von WoWu:
What to see everything in the world, is now back as "Early 2008"? Again as a marketing creation?
Antwort von PowerMac:
2007 (Woordcrest) are the first Mac Pro, that is generation one. Early 2008 (Harpertown) are generation two. Early 2009 (Nehalem) are the new generation that is three.
The 4870 works only with generation of two and three.

In principle, you have absolutely right. I wanted to but not beyond.
I'm just this whole story pretty sorry. I mean what is that?
It is simply not OK if Apple deletes a default, in the last 10 years to one of the most important in the audiovisual production has developed. or not. Of times throughout the years, its propagation of the interface apart.
I would understand that if the interface in years and would hardly Products with FW400 would be in circulation. But quite the opposite is the case. Man, please remember this is not any video-editing and running for a high-end audio interface was Firewire400 and is more than sufficient. And nearly every audio interface comes with a FW400 port, therefore. Can not be that hard s.eine as big box like the MacPro, two, three FW400 ran to tinker.
But this is Apple still not with the adapters> see the new GraKa. Now I have two Cinema Displays s.meinen of ADC to DVI (for 99, the Euro-piece!) And now I should have adapters again, this time of the ADC to DVI to Mini Display Port.
Apple advertises always so that you can only retrieve NEN Mac and you can work worry-free, just the future, we must not forget!
Beautiful New World
Best Regards

The DVI both as synonymous to the FW800 port is one-for-all and can be adapted so cool down, that there is already a fairly discerning Mac user speaks, rather a long-sheet tray (laptop) or a "nice" backwards bush Panel (PC) with all synonymous outdated standards to be desired. The motto behind this is to reduce the maximum (was once the advertising slogan for the "smart").

@ Strike300xxx
Now I understand .. but this is just the trick, with which the industry is always faster, always new money earned. It is simply the cycle times shortened. And if it does nothing more, there is holding the "scrapping" of the other taxpayers to do so.
