Video8 was a (late 1980s?) A development of the Video8 format, which only a few cameras were used. What are the technical differences there are, I do not know. The tapes would have in any event, the same one.

I do not know, and since I'm an old Zausel and this time mitgekriegt have, I am pretty sure that it is only some Vermarktungsschnickschnack act. The advancements vonVideo8 called Hi8 - that's been in two flavors: with MP or ME tape. Then came Digital8.

Last I know of this additional designation s.ersten and single analogue 3CCD Hi8 camcorder CCD VX1E. Then followed a real technological advancement with the name of Hi8 XR, but that has already been overshadowed of MiniDV.
