I have about 10 minutes Mini DV material in 16:9 and 4:3 material 1.5 hours are available (sometimes on the same tape recorded). That I would be happy with Final Cut Pro 5.0.4 a video cut, which I then later as Quicktime can play off. I have chosen to do everything to 16:9 "convert" in which I use the widescreen letterbox on 4:3 material lege. This works wonderfully synonymous, as long as I did not "mix".
Unfortunately, the images directly to "pinched" when I use the old 16:9 and 4:3 material together in a sequence cut. How can I bypass? Or does it not? Do I need the tape again invite eg 16:9 minutes with a different attitude?
Thank you for your help!

For 4:3 (the sequence setting!) The> Effects> Video Filters> Mask> widescreen> 1:1,78 specify. For 16:9> Motion tab> Distort> -33,33%.
Is with Final Cut Pro 6 is no longer needed or no longer synonymous possible. No squeeze everything fits cars.

Hi Axel!
Unfortunately I find the command for "Tab movement" and "Fuzz" with me anywhere. Not Resize tool. I cut with the German version of Final Cut. Do you know where I find there? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Antwort von Kino:
The tab "movement" you find in the viewer window (under the tab "Video" and "."
Once you have opened this, you will find there records like: "Movement", "pruning" and "Fuzz" (further: opacity, shadow, .... - certainly already seen).
The "wide filter" so you need only for your 4:3 clips.
Hatt's helped?
Good luck Christoph + + +
PS.: My FCP5 last version I was able to upgrade to 5.1.4.

Hello,
Unfortunately, I have the same problem, so gave me this schonmal very helpful.
Unfortunately, I find in my Final Cut version does not function to convert 4:3 to 16:9 (in the other case, it is no problem). My version is 5.0.4
Have you perhaps even an idea?
Regards, Milia
Antwort von Axel:
That you have misunderstood. The fernsehfee has reasonably decided by a 4:3 to 4:3 Letterbox mask making and the 16:9 material ( "as" 4:3, in the old Final Cut Pro version, therefore, distorted), to equalize.
