Have my Videos of a Sony MiniDV via FireWire and iMovie transferred to my Mac.
The created video format is ". Dv"
The playback works with QuickTime at all.
VLC can play the files though, but take extreme sound interference on the right audio channel. If only the left activate the disturbances are gone, but clear as synonymous, the stereo effect.
Does anyone know where is the problem?

try it again with capture, first use cleaning cartridge, during the capture process activities s.rechner give to others.
is the material clean at play directly into the camera?

Can you play files because in the iMovie? If it runs as clean?
