Hello everyone!
I am absolutely new to this area and would like to know: Have a Imac and would like to Movies - avi files to a DVD or synonymous as "perhaps there was simpler?" burn. Conclusion should be that I can play this disc in an "average" DVD player.

Try it once with the NERO suite. There is a tool - I think it is called vision - which we created to run compliant, real MPEG2-DVD then synonymous in almost all DVD players.
