Hello everyone!
I am a television Producer of work and cut format requires more s.EDIT linearly with its own cutter. Now I want to cut a couple of showreels themselves at home and come across a few problems as a novice, which are probably easy to fix. My goal: DVD with my own TV show in AVI file is a 4-5 minute reel rip cut.
How do I do: I rip a DVD with a DVD recorder included with the program "A1 DVD Ripper Professional. The program uses the following settings automatically when I select the "Output format" AVI DivX:
Frame rate: 25.0 (PAL). When "Audio Track" is "?? AC3 2ch (0x80).
If I see my video settings more closely, it states:
DivX 5.1.1. Codec (here are synonymous other codecs can be selected, which I have already tasted synonymous). Audio BitRate: 128 Kbits. Resolution 768) x 576 (for TV.
The result after the rib is wonderful ... be easily played from Win Media Player in top quality ... with sound of course.
The problem in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0: When you import the sound is lost ... there is no error message. The icon in the Import displays a pure video file.
My question (s): Why with no audio has been imported?
Is there something like Adobe Premiere 2.0 import settings for AVI files?
Do I need to rip the DVD with some settings from an AVI file, so Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 sound mitnimmt when importing?
What has me totally confused: the fact that when I work with Adobe Premiere Pro 6 is the same (!) AVI file is imported as normal WITH sound and I can cut it beautifully! But I would prefer to work with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.
I'm sure something fundamentally wrong, or?
Can anyone of you help me?

I do not know your DVD-ripper, but if I understand correctly, you ripping the sound in AC3, so DolbyDigital?
Here, I suspect your problem, since APP can not read AC3 files, or just 6.1wav halt just stereo. Have you perhaps synonymous a stereo stream on the DVD? Then it's time to try.

Have the same problem - in AP 6.5 and Pro 1.0 went without any problems - now at 2.0 per anymore.
So far found no solution or approach. Does anyone know more precise or you already have solved your problem?
