Frage von xmic1207:Hi folks ...
this question I have asked yourself ...
But then, I have received no satisfactory answer and I would still like to know ...
What reason have it be that my AVID film clips is not quite as AVI format export?
Avid did it in principle when there are small snippets, so Miute about one or two, but it once it's finished is an entire movie clip, AVID does not make it and break its action whenever a certain export time is reached.
Why?
When I export to Quick Time format as reference is, but I've always felt this is something (generally minimal) Qulitätsverlust there.
I want to export the finished clip necessarily as AVI. Is my AVID vielleict somehow broken? On other computers is not synonymous in the rest!
MFG

hmmm ... sure you have the latest patch on it?
Does it work only with DV-AVI or the error does not occur generally in AVI export (regardless of codec)?

Michael Hello Michael,
This is not a defect, but normal, that stops the AVI Export your Avid forever. And he does exactly as 2GB. He therefore synonymous exported only small snippets.
This is for all Avid systems, and thus can not be avoided synonymous. Why this is so, I do not know.
YOU can either the snippet in a program like Virtual Dub and paste back together as a movie let out, or you can simply get out a proper Quicktime ..... Quicktime Reference the way, is not an independent QT movie, but only a reference to accessing the material on the synonymous of Avid. It involves only a "pointer" to the material solely .... audio is physically exported.
At least then you realize, if you want to look at this QT Reference on another calculator that you can not.
So Use Quicktime movies with Sorenson 3 or uncompressed, for further processing.
many greetings and good luck
