I have the following problem that robs myself every advice:
I uninstalled the old Avid, the new install. During installation, the message came that "dvbuffers.ax" can not be registered because it would be in the "Unauthorized storage area. I continued the installation. After I installed the Avid codecs, I have started the application. Immediately following error is what the beginning of the start of Avid buried after their confirmation:
"Error: Access violation s.0x7C34240D (tried to write to 0x00000000), program terminated."

When my colleague Avid was working properly, we have almost the same system configuration, and synonymous, the same updates. The only real difference was how tiny left is my HT ..
So I forced Windows to use only one CPU, and lo and behold, it works!

Hello colleagues,
I have completely rebuilt my system recently, and have also this ominous "access violation" of Avid Xpress DV 5.2.
Previously, it ran without problems, and I suspect that perhaps the Harwarekonfiguration it could be to blame.
Test with Memtest all were successful, and the Windows hotfix is not available synonymous with me.
old system: ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 2400 +, 1GB RAM, Matrox G550
new system: ASUS P5WDH Deluxe, E6300, 2 GB RAM (MDT), Matrox Parhelia avpe

I still run to Avid then taken by me with / got off onecpu one processor.
There are generally no multiprocessor support, or is it just a bug in the version?

Same here. Bought a second hand HP xw8200, installed avid, got s.acces violation error s.0x7c34240d. Took out one of the IntelXeon processors, and Avid is running.
Avid is rather picky on hardware, and I thought I had a compatible machine. Back to Adobe distress.

I use just encountered the same problem and so quite and not at all happy, especially since Programs such as After Effects, Photoshop and synonymous my operating system, both processors. Furthermore, although the old Avid Xpress Pro flawlessly with two cores, synonymous only if it has used.
It must give a solution but not the processor performance.
That can not seriously be of Avid.
Who can help or are there people with Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.2.4. running on a dual core system? Updates?

For me and many other dual core owners avid with the already mentioned error zickt rum. Affected is probably the young generation dual core intel (Exxx). I think and hope that Avid rausbringt soon as a patch slowly accumulate these complaints.
