Content is not a new message. However there has been hope for a "Follow-Up." After all, living parts of the Liquid codes next in studio.
Whether I doing to myself as an amateur in the upgrade offer is rather questionable. I had spent my circumstances much money for the Pro 5.x (and the updates to 7.x) and the Pro-box I do not currently need. A software-only solution for just under 500, - is with me not being there.
However, the setting of the development does not mean that I must now cease to intersect with liquid and for my current needs (SD-cut), the software is still synonymous suitable. Help I think still synonymous in relevant fora.

Otherwise, I think similar to what thos-berlin in view of the Media Composer says. Avid Liquid Many loyal customers have found a different picture. Some have already made a crossgrade to Media Composer. Since this was considerably more expensive than that offered now, are likely to annoy those s.meisten now - for me one more sign of the botched Avid's product policy. Others have switched to Sony Vegas Video ProX or Canopus Edius, and are now quite happy with it.
Thus, it is expected that Avid Liquid with his attitude towards the customers (they ran several years of uncertainty about the future Liquid Editions), has alienated most of them.
But oh well, as the saying goes: Other mothers are synonymous beautiful daughters. So stop by the market.

Not only Mpeg2 HDV, but generally up to the SonyXDCAM-EX formats with square pixels and 35 mbs

I worked for two years with Liquid. High-class, but with the handling, I have never been so very warm and therefore at some point again come back to Premiere.
Of which I have just switched to EDIUS and behold, there is much known to me from the Liquid-time - only it's much easier to operate - for me as it were, the better liquid. I can only recommend any Liquid user) testing times, the 30-day trial version of EDIUS to (for AVCHD way NEO2 booster. I will here do not advertise, but I must say, I am thrilled.

I grieve liquid synonymous not really after ... I never got to really warm, it sometimes took quite buggy and had time to do a professional bissl with it.
Premiere and Edius particularly liked the moment but really quite good - Edius is truly a creative tool that virtually all file formats with the swallows, I have fed it so far, and this remains stable:)
However that may be synonymous ... Who is not set to moderate HD's latest horse can certainly continue to work so well synonymous with Liquid ... and can look for alternatives so never hurts:)

Also disturbing I find the Hardwaredongle who s.mehr to work much harder than a calculator and on mobile platforms.
In Premiere, I strongly suspect that this package will be developed for each of the next-generation processor ;-)

Others have switched to Sony Vegas Video ProX or Canopus Edius, and are now quite happy with it. I cut my film degree with MAGIX VDL 2007 PLUS, had a pointed paper bag on his head, and of course my slashCAM T-shirt.
I edit HDV footage quite fluently and mostly hard cuts row together. With masks, I can then be limited to work beautifully with keyframes. In the local Keyframeanimation is mainly working with numerical inputs, some of which may seem complicated, so I get along well.
I'd say in all modesty: The film will be those that he should achieve, probably to address. And I hardly think you will see the finished film: "Ah, bah - Magix done with haste, ne?"
I know Avid, Premiere and Co. only hearsay. Have one synonymous Magix Pro X and a Canopus Neo lying around here, what I've always wanted to install synonymous.

To Magix ... I downloaded the last time trial of Magix Video Pro X2 ... times because I just wanted to try out as I can cope with the Magix software ...
The only stupid - I was not even able to start because it is constantly lubricated while:) And if so starts, I've got no desire on it more when I think of what else it could happen ... But surely a case naja ....

Unfortunately, there is something Edius s.Performance, especially with AVCHD material, which has now arrived in the professional area. At NAB 2010 there will be a booster for free update for Edius now synonymous.

The change of Liquid to MC will fall most users still quite heavy.
The two Programs have almost nothing in common and are built completely different.
I've cut with liquid and two smaller projects in some of my training workshops s.ein participated, but I'm still not really convinced of this program.
I'd rather cut on my old of Ulead MediaStudio Pro.
A good NLE should really only run in a stable, his support the most popular format and easy to use. Since there is then no preference whether the program costs $ 100 or 20,000 euros.

The good news however is that you can currently get for less than $ 1,000 to Avid MC license. Liquid online currently costs less than $ 500. Upgrade to MC $ 495 (!). Avid is indeed s.Anfang somewhat unusual, because it is based sichstark s.der logic of the old film editing tables, but after the settling-in period, it can be cut out IMHO more comfortable than on most other programs. The only downside: Well first s.Version 4.5 or 5 to natively support AVCHD. An upgrade would then cost around 400 euros. All in all, but still cheaper than buying the MC again.

To me it is not for some reason no preference.
But back to the point: I'm with Liquid come very well. The transition time of Premiere (6.5) I was struck initially very difficult, but then went s.wie Schmidt cat. If you understand the philosophy and the Liquid A top program, with which one can work very quickly, especially with the help of shortcuts. The renewed transition to Edius 5 was once synonymous difficult. One would have to schedule some time, especially if one is an amateur like me and can not sit s.Calculator daily. Meanwhile, I get along well, and so synonymous have already completed smaller projects. Sometimes I stand still like a dying duck barn and look for features that were accomplished under liquid with a single click. Most are then found with some looking in the manual. So upgrade for 495 euros on the MC is in my view, really a good deal, especially when you consider that in the boxed version of the MC, the MC is not only itself but synonymous Boris Continuum Complete, Sorenson Squeeze and some is more contained (in The latest version currently).
The Programs alone costs alone have more than the 495 euros for the upgrade.
However, one must be synonymous to keep in mind that Avid for each subsequent update is not exactly squeamish asked to checkout and, unfortunately, not only for .0 releases. I had made true a few years ago and the upgrade of Xpress erstmal am currently at version 3.1.3 is stagnating because I had no desire to shell out each time around the 400 euro for the next version.
But basically, the MC is a great program - if one is willing to invest a certain amount of learning effort.
