Good day,
for me the following happened:
Due to a hardware failure of my external hard drive I have a complete data loss of my DV tapes gecaptureten suffered.
This was followed by fits of rage, Heulkrämpfen, fainting and unrestrained consumption of alcohol. Fortunately, a friend, with whom I work s.der documentation, the OMFI Media Files folder before copying over quietly and secretly on his calculator. But no more.
Now I will continue my work.
Here I sit in front of the problem:
Avid offers me proud to Importierfunktion where I can select synonymous omf files. This is what I do then synonymous. The beam passes through ... Yes and that was it. No. of imported files will appear in the selected bin. If I try it again, Avid told me that the files already exist and whether it should override.
I wonder now: Where the imported files are? I have seen is that it uses the files in OMFI Media Files folder. But no longer synonymous. I would however like to see them in a bin and not in OMFI Media Files folder. And again before Sodom and Gomorrah is, I prefer to ask in this forum.

Hi Marin,
copy the folder OMFI media files on your local hard drive. Delete the files in that folder: msmFMID.pmr and msmMMOB.mdb.
Start your Avid, open your project, and everything should be back there.

My Avid Xpress DV tells me at startup that the following file is broken on one of the two external hard disks: msmMMOB.mdb
What is this file?
As far as I can judge it until now, but otherwise everything is fine and I can work normally.
But how can I remove the error message?

Hello Miriam,
you can delete the two files. When Avid launched the next time OMFI all folders are searched and the database rebuilt.

Since I have just two questions:
I have spent from the Avid out a Quicktime Reference and it was then burned in Toast with the menu. Synonymous everything has worked out great, but unfortunately the film flickers when I try to play it in DVD player.
I was already synonymous when I rausgerendert a DV stream, but there you can choose whether you want to have lower or upper field first. This setting does not exist in the Quicktime Reference.
Question 2: Recently, I can output from the Avid not get a Quicktime Movie more. Everything else works. Why might that be?
Do you know / know your advice?
